Brett and Lisa were married at Herrington on the Bay in July 2017. Their ceremony took place on the Polynesian Lawn and their wedding reception was held in the Paradise Ballroom. How They Met
A professional matchmaker! From their first date in May 2016, Lisa said they never looked back. Brett and Lisa made each other laugh. She said besides having fun together, they connected because of how much they value their family and friends.
The Engagement Story
Brett took Lisa and their pup, Indy, for a hike at Scotts Run in Great Falls. When they got to the top of the waterfall, overlooking the river, Brett popped the question. Of course she said yes, and the rest is history!
Wedding Planning Process
Before the wedding, Lisa said she was, “always a bridesmaid.” From those experiences, she knew that the venue meant everything when it came to kicking off the planning. From the moment they were engaged, Lisa said they new Herrington on the Bay was the perfect place. They were engage for 9 months and she said planning the wedding was a collaborative process. She kept track of the details in a spreadsheet. Herrington introduced Lisa and Brett to the other vendors who helped make their day extra special.

Big Day Recap
Brett and Lisa’s wedding ceremony was very personal. She said it was funny, caring, and their favorite part of the day. The couple spent the day laughing with friends and family and there were quite a few happy tears.
Lisa said they put their trust in the vendors and partners who they adored. She said they had no expectation other than to have fun with those they loved…

What about the details?
Lisa said Cynthia at Flower Follies incorporated bright summer flowers and little touches of white and navy to create the beach wedding she imagined. Brett and Lisa had a steel drummer for the cocktail hour, capturing the summer mood from the start of the celebration. They also had a beer tasting station and cornhole area set up, for an overall feeling of casual elegance.
Wedding Advice
Brett and Lisa said make sure you choose vendors whose work you admire and love as people. Lisa said the wedding planning process can be difficult and overwhelming but the right team of vendors makes it much easier.
