They met in China when they were three years old and reconnected as adults after they’d both moved to the United States. Yuan and Dacheng brought global details into their wedding decor, giving the event a destination feel. Enjoy these photos from Laura’s Focus Photography.
About the Couple
Colorful paper lanterns and candy tins from China reflected Yuan and Dacheng’s Chinese heritage. Laura said the day was, “most beautiful.”
By Yuan’s side was her best friend aka Man of Honor and on Dacheng’s side was his close cousin aka Best Woman! We had the most amazing sunset and reception inside the Paradise Ballroom Tent which was filled with blue and orange paper lanterns that lit up. My favorite detail had to be the back of Yuan’s wedding gown with intricate flower detail!
The Ceremony
Yuan and Dacheng were married on the Polynesian Lawn beneath palm trees, along the Chesapeake Bay. The blue-green and coral palette was perfect for a June wedding.
The Reception
The paper lanterns and soft uplighting were delightful accents to the couple’s wedding reception in the Paradise Ballroom.
